Workshop with ARM

**IMPORTANT MESSAGE**

Due to the volcano outbreak on Island the people from ARM in Cambridge are not able to fly to Norway this week. This means that we're unfortunately forced to move the Workshop to Wednesday 28th of April, 18:00..

The workshop is now full, but you may still sign up for the waitinglist by sending an email with your name and phone number to contact@gameawards.no. There's always a possibility that someone won't make it, so don't hesitate signing up!

--------------------------------

The developers from ARM will come to NTNU Gløshaugen from Cambridge and teach us about graphics programming with OpenGL ES 2.0. If you ever want to program insane graphics on mobile telephones, PDAs, or game consoles, this is something you definitely not should miss! The workshop will contain some short introductions followed by practical exercises under guidance.

The event is free and open for everyone.

Date: 28th of April
Time: 18:00 - ca 21:30
Place: Kjel 3, NTNU Gløshaugen, Trondheim

Program:

  • Introduction to OpenGL ES 2.0
  • Tips and tools for exploiting the ARM Mali GPU
  • How to develop programable shaders for a game
  • How to optimise game content for increased performance

The Workshop will be held by Peter Horsman:
Peter has worked as an embedded software engineer in ARM's Media Processing Division since graduating from Bristol University with an M.Eng. in Computer Science in 2002.

There will be free food service in Kjelkantina. Tacobuffet is on the menu. Computers and necessary software will be supplied for the practical exercises.
